Canberra Game Fishing Club (CGFC) was formed in 1964 by a group of Canberra residents who owned a steel cruiser “Blue Marlin”, the hull of which is still to be found on the banks of the Bermagui River about 800m upstream from the bridge…

Today we are a just club who loves their fishing. We welcome any new members who wish to join in on the fun, and especially welcome EVERYBODY to come and take part and experience our annual Canberra Tuna Tournament and to try to take out some big fish and some great prizes!

Dear participants and community members,

Due to the ongoing fuel uncertainty and its impact it may have on travel and operations, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Yellowfin Tuna Tournament, This decision was not made lightly, however, we as a committee feel it’s the best thing to do in light of current situations.

We share in your disappointment—this event means a great deal to our fishing community.

An invitation is extended to anglers who are financial members of a club affiliated with the NSWGFA or other State Association which is affiliated with the GFAA or ANSA or a bona fide International member of the IGFA.
